Ian has been a great help navigating the various pitfalls an aspiring comic creator faces. He has offered sound creative advice, not to mention constructive criticism which has increased our likelihood of being published.

If you’re serious about publishing, then you owe it to yourself and your project to hire someone serious about publishing to help.

Ian Feller, head of 813 Services & Solutions, graduated from Towson University in 1991 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. He started his career as a retail comic store manager before moving into publishing where he was first the editor of Comic Book Collector magazine, then launched and served as managing editor of COMBO magazine, overseeing all editorial aspects as well as writing a monthly column. He then took the reins as promotions manager for Wizard Entertainment, where he was responsible for bringing in revenue through the creation of mail-away #1/2 comics and increasing circulation by upgrading the comics and other inserts found in the polybag of each issue of Wizard and the Wizard Specials. He then moved on to CrossGen Entertainment where he started as director of corporate communications, helping distinguish the upstart publisher from its competitors and establishing the company as a recognizable brand through extensive editorial coverage and recognition throughout the comic book industry and the mainstream, landing placements is such diverse publications as Maxim, Better Homes & Garden and Southern Living. He also handled all of CrossGen's advertising and convention planning, served as an integral part of the editorial team, oversaw the creation and maintenance of the company website, and many other tasks too numerous to name. He was then promoted to director of ancillary publishing, launching two new publishing imprints, Code 6 Comics and CGE, serving as managing editor for the lines, handling all day-to-day operations including locating and securing new titles and working with the creators on implementation. Ian’s most successful discovery was J.M. DeMatteis and Mike Ploog’s Abadazad, announced by Disney Publishing Worldwide to be the reason for their purchasing of CrossGen’s assets. Let Ian use that knowledge and experience to help you.
